Moments of faith decoupage hot diggity dog papers and sorry the punch name escapes me.

So 2 for 1 has crashed into my card making. I will be putting the instructions on bespokecardsandmore.blogspot.com soon. So pop over and have a look.

The papers and images are all Hot diggity dog and the aperture was cut with my scallop square.

How I love this Burleigh blue paper and it just screamed kraft card. more hot diggity dog decoupage, and Burleigh blue buttons. The mats were cut from Capsule textured card stock.

More kraft card and hot diggity dog. I embossed the card with the brick embossing folder. These glittery flowers are lush, and they are in Burleigh blue and Parkstone Pink.

A goody bag card or as we called it a doggy bag in tribute to hot diggity dog. All the elements can be found in the goody bag.

Another goody bag card. Simple and quick.

This moments of faith is a really lovely range and something I know you will all love. Again the card is from the capsule collection and the papers are Parkstone pink. A little bit of mirror card and a stepper card cut into a tent card.

Never ending card

This card is for my favorite stalker and his lovely wife. You know who you are!! The inspiration came from a card that was bought into the demo.

The papers were capsule collection in liquorice and the toppers were from the tatty ted Christmas.

I found it easier to cover all the card pieces with paper first and then put the card together and decorate.

The flowers don't show to well on these pictures but they have been scored down through each petal and then stuck together. The die I used was the new flower one from x cut.

Love these urban stamps. Teamed them up with some mirri board die cut washers which I distressed with a distressing tool and inked with black ink.

More urban stamps and chalk inks.

wow almost forgot about this embossing folder but they do still have a few in stock.

A small 4x4 card embossed and chalked. The frame was made with the postage stamp die and then embossed. The flower is from the new set.

This is a stepper card folded to create a gatefold with flappy bits. then embossed with the new folders and finished with a forever Friends decoupage.

Another take on the card in the magazine. Different colours and glitter card.Wow.

This card does'nt use the Big Shot. I know but I was asked to make a card and not use it!!! So here it is Forever Friends Black and Gold. And flowers from an old goody bag.

As promised here are the cards from Saturdays demo for the lady who doesn't like yellow just a small splash can give a card a whole different look.

21 the key to the door or it was when I was younger.

Stepper cards you loved them in the summer so they are back in packs so you can decorate them yourself.

A stepper card that has the back piece folded to the front to make a gatefold with flappy bits. Love these new embossing folders.

A stepper turned into an easel card and decorated with Christmas tale papers the flower was cut using the paisley x cut die.

This card is my interpretation of one in the latest creativity magazine

these flowers were made from stamped kraft envelopes that were then die cut with the flower x cut die.

More envelopes stamped and cut chalked scrunched.

Kraft card from earlier in the year and capsule card from an earlier goody bag.

More of that kraft card and urban stamps.

Ink’s, stamping and all the bits you will need.

Ok so here we go as promised all the info I can come up with for Docraft related stamping products. Remember this is my opinion and not necessarily the opinion of others.
There are several different types of ink
1. Dye based ink: They dry very quickly and are O.K. to use with papermania watercolour pens. They can also be used to distress (foof) the edge. This will give a sharp finish.
2. Fluid chalk inks: These can be used for stamping or for distressing (foofing) the edges of your cards. They dry quickly and leave a soft image.
3. Pigment inks: These are best used with your heat gun. They do not dry very quickly and sometimes never dry properly on your card. You can just heat set or add embossing powder.
My recommendation is you call your heat gun a pig this will remind you to use it with your pigment inks.
4. Use your papermania watercolour pens to colour rubber stamps just remember to huff on them to refresh the ink before stamping.

There are lots of other inks out there and you can research there uses on the internet.

Stamps there are thousands of them and they come in different formats.
Achieving a good clear image is all about practice and a stack of copy paper is great for this. When I get a new stamp I always stamp it onto the copy paper first so I can see how it stamps. Sometimes you may need to add a little extra pressure on an area this will help. If you don’t get a clear image try putting a mouse mat under the card.

1. Rubber wood backed stamps they give a crisp image and can be inked with any ink. Storage can be a problem. However they can be removed from the block and used with an acrylic block. Stick them to the block with stick it glue stick and clean up with baby wipes.
2. Clear Stamps these are great as they stick to an acrylic block and you can see the card stock through the stamp so allowing you to stamp in the exact place you want. Unlike a rubber stamp. Don’t push too hard as the image will be distorted. Storage is fab as they are so flat and they are cheaper to buy.
3. Urban stamps. The best of both worlds the storage is great as they are flat. The image is crisp. No worrying about pushing to hard.
Acrylic blocks come in several different sizes if I was buying one I would buy a big one you can always balance the block with smaller stamps in the corner of the block.

Clean your stamps if you must ( I love Tim Holtz) with alcohol free baby wipes.
I do clean my stamps if I am going to use a colour other than black, but as I normally use black I don’t bother.

Heat gun or as I call it the pig will always need to be used with pigment ink. You can sprinkle embossing powder over the image and heat making sure the gun is about 2” from the card stock. A good weight of card is essential to prevent warping. If you are going to do this on a cutting mat make sure there is a stack of paper under the card to prevent warping of the board or excessive heat on the glass mat.

Easel card iwith drawer

2 square cards measuring 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"

4 pieces of card 3" x 5 1/2"

4 pieces of card 2 7/8" x 4"

Wet Glue

1.Take one of the cards and fold on the score line. Divide the front piece into two score and fold.

2.Cut the second card in half and stick to the edge flap you have just created. The creates your basic easel card decorate as required. Put the other half to one side for the base.

3. To make the tubes take the 3" x 5 1/2" and score at 2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2" and 5". Put the glue on the 1/2" flap and stick to create the tube. Repeat with the other 3 pieces of card.

4. Score a 1/2" all round on the remaining 4 pieces of card.Put a brad on one end of each tray. Snip into the corners and glue into place. Leave to dry.

5. Take the tubes and arrange on to the base card glue into place. Stick the easel card onto the top of the tubes.

I hope this helps I will try and post the instructions for the 6x6 card later.

What a busy and long weekend I have had. The welcome at both Material bank and craft unit in Portsmouth and Busy Bees on the isle of wight was fantastic. I hope that all those ladies that came along over the weekend had a great time and learnt at least one thing. Keep popping back as I will be loading more cards over the summer.

Waterfall cards are so simple and look so cute.

This card has a snowman stamped onto snowflake vellum I then embossed behind the glittered areas.

This has become the signature card for this loop there are many versions on this blog.

Birthday domed stickers and X Cut dies this looks so much better in the flesh.

It was lovely to see so many of you on Friday. I have never done a demo on a Friday before and was expecting it to be a lot quieter so I was really suprised with the amount of ladies and gentlemen that turned up.

Crafting around Isle of Wight

Happy Christmas. So this loop is the launch of Christmas it is hard getting started but if you make a couple a week it's not so hard. This is a simple die cut heart easel. The base card is made using the nesting dies run the die through your machine and then turn the die by 90 degrees and run it through the machine again. The added piece of the card is a piece of mirri card cut with the scalloped heart. Stick this to the card and then cut and chalk another plain heart. Stick to the mirri and finish with the Noel Chipboards.

Wow so simple yet so effective You will need a Tim Holtz alterations die and the mover and shaper butterflies. I created a card base using the TH die and then made this into an easel card. The added piece of the easel was cut with the mover and shaper butterflies magnetical stuck to the die this then allows us to cut it all in one go. I then cut a piece of the new glittered vellum which I stuck to the back of the card front. This was then coloured with my permanent markers. All the edges were chalked with my fluid chalks. The butterflies were chalked and stuck with a little Stick it glue. Finish off with gems and flowers and a message from the Birthday A4 collectors pack.

Quick and simple matting and layering and a couple of Noel Chipboards.

Forever friends is always popular and these stepper cards are going to be very popular.

How I love these nesting dies the flower was made with them as well. That butterfly is sweet as well and was made with a mover and shaper die.

How cute are these new stamps a 3 for 2 so a great price.

Dotty embossing folder freebie on the front of the magazine. Used this to emboss a panel then stamped the shelf and put a piece of mirri in to make the mirror. The bath is a decoupage from the stepper card pack.

What another lovely day on IOW it was great to see you all.
As many of you know I only arrived back from my holiday the day before the demo so I would like to thank my daughter for making me a couple of sample cards.
Stacey loves to scrapbook but I am hoping to convert her to cards.

Vellum is one of those products that a lot of people find difficult to use this is in part down to the fact that it's transparent.
I try to put my glue or tape behind the element on the card this this to the vellum and then put tape in this area again and stick the vellum to the card.
On the card above I put tape behind the ribbon area the ribbon then covers the tape.

What an amazing day 27 seats full all day and loads standing. It always amazes me the amount of ladies that come along We worked, some brilliant cards and as I said I hope you weren't looking for simple as I have tried to come up with cards that are challenging when you look at them but easy when you know how.
I hope that you all picked up at least 1 idea today. I am hoping to see you all soon.
I will be doing a range demo next Saturday so anything you didn't see I will be showing it next week. I will be doing the tapestry stamps as well.

I love this card. Bird song lazer papers. Kraft card and country companion stamp set. the finishing touch has to be the daisy and leaf punch. The box was made with the score board. And I decorated it with more flowers.

How simple are these not my normal style at all. The scrolls are from the cake stamp set that comes in the goody bag. I also used the scroll stamp set with sentiments.

Love, love, love the cut and emboss folders from xcut. Run them through you die cutting machine and they will cut and emboss. Some of them even leave little pin prick hole for stitching. Again I used the daisy flower punch and leaf. The card on the left has a small piece of the lazer cut bird song as well. The other card has a decoupage from springtime. A tip is to use silicone glue as the decoupage is pearl and the pads don't stick so well.

These trellis boxes were made using the trellis tri fold cards. there are 4 designs in this range and all are rather lovely.

Card fold of the loop this card is so simple you will need 2 1/2 square cards cut. stick 2 together to create a tri fold. Fold the outer side in half to create a gate fold with a flappy bit. Stick the 1/2 a card on to the front of the left flappy bit and decorate. See the last picture for an birds eye view.
